No one reads blogs

Via some random surfing I was doing this afternoon while waiting for a Mandrake 10.0 to finish installing, I encountered this blog entry from A Small Victory: Coming Soon: Blogging Rehab Centers. It is commentary about a NYT article about how there are so many blogs out there, but that no one seems to read blogs.

I haven't looked recently, but I don't think many people are reading this blog of mine. But I don't expect many people to read my blog. I figure my girlfriend may read this once in a while, when her RSS reader shows that I've put in a new entry, and may be a few friends who even know that this blog exists. To me, this blog is more for myself, more for some place for me to just write down some random thoughts and/or complaints at the time. As I've said in a previous post, I don't necessarily find it convenient enough to write down all my thoughts/ideas into my blog because of access more than anything. Whenever I do put stuff in my blog, it's more because I'm already sitting in front of a computer and I'm not occupied by something else at the moment.

Sure, this blog might just be mental masturbation, but I don't really care.

    I read it. Randomly. After /fingering you cause I'm bored. And congratulations on the flossing thing. Oral hygene is your friend.
